Hi, My name is David Lumbra II and I'm currently 21 years old. Outside of academics I love going outdoors to reap the benefits it has for reducing stress which is why I also like going for walks and varying lengths of runs depending on how I'm feeling and when there is snow on the ground, I enjoy skiing to stay active during the colder months of the year. Also I've always been obsessed with anything Dragonball related even the GT series which I think is underappreciated. During this past summer I particpated in my first 10K run in Enosburg, Vermont and the race was called the Milk Run which was excited since I never would have thought I would be able to do a race beyond 5k. One interesting fact about me is that within my family I'm the only left handed person. During High school I particpated in three seperate sports which I've listed below:
My entire life I've lived in Fairfax, Vermont and through PK-12 grade I attended the same school which was Bellows Free Academy-Fairfax. Before pursuing an online degree in Holistic Health here at Vermont State University. I was planning to study Computer Science at Vermont Tech. Though I decided to change my plans prior to starting and pursue a degree in Physical Education at Castleton. After the first year I decided to change my degree again over to Holistic Health at Northern Vermont University which has been the degree I've stuck with the past three years. So, from the way I look at it I've remained in the same system the past four years since all these colleges are under the same umbrella as VTSU which has made my academic journey so much easier to navigate.
In the future one of my hope is to use my education that I have acquired over the years to help the local community here in Vermont. The way that I want to acheive this goal is working with the younger generation and helping them navigate the challenges that they might encounter on their way to becoming adults. This might come in the form of working with an established organization in the local area that provides opportunites for children that might be struggling academically or mentally just as an example.
