My Life
School
I'm a CIS Major on the Castleton Campus. I was previously a Political Science Major at Norwich University. My time and experience there was invaluable and I hold a specific revere for that institution. Some parts of the which included:
- Recruit Training: A week period which starts with an event called Rook Week, which is a stress test, culminating in The Dog River Run, which is a 2 mile long through The Dog River in Northfield, VT.
- Leadership Experience: Countless oppurtunities to not only learn from incredible leaders, but mentor and help grow the future leaders of the Nation's Armed Forces.
- Connections: Many connections, both personal and professional, that I would be remiss to take for granted. Friends and Mentors alike, I thank for the man that I am today.
Military
I am also enlisted in the Vermont National Guard as a Combat Engineer. My job specializes in:
- Mobility
- Countermobility
- Survivablity
Which includes but not limited to clearing obstacles, creating avenues of advance for follow on forces, supporting forces from the front lines, etc.
All that to say, it boils down to what I affectionately refer to as the Big Three B's:
Buildings.
Bridges.
Bombs.
Hobbies
Photography
I started photography about a year ago and it began with film photography. It was one of the BEST decisions I have ever made. I've learn so much about myself and the world through the lens of the viewfinder. I incorporated digital photography over the summer. Most notably I currently shoot with:
- Canon EOS R
- Zenza Bronica SQ-AM
- Fujifilm XT-20
- Canon FT-QL
